scottphoto1My name is Scott Ramsay and I have had a camera in my hand for over 40 years. As a young photographer, I spent years trying to figure out what my “style” was. I had friends that were photographers, and most of them focused on shooting one specific genre, while I was focused on learning to shoot every genre that interested me. If I saw a photo, but wasn’t sure how the lighting was created, I studied lighting techniques until I could do the same thing in my studio.  I have spent many years learning to shape and control light and composition.

I have had the pleasure of working with many companies and individuals on everything from product catalogs and fashion spreads to architecture, music, food and swimwear. A natural progression to video occurred when I started shooting a friends band on my DSLR and I found I could get beautiful cinematic results. I did my first music video and I was hooked! I have now written and directed 6 music videos and don’t want to stop! I have also produced over 50 real estate videos as well as interviews, live performances, behind the scenes and lifestyle videos.

I also fell in love with the idea of concept photographic series and started with Unbalanced Ballet back in 2013. This black and white ballerina project that took a year to complete. In 2015, I created the series  Particles-Dance and then in 2016, I completed Particles-Karate.

Another passion of mine is aviation. I had my “solo” pilots license at 15 before I had my driver’s license! In the last few years, I have found a new love in piloting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones).  I combine my piloting skills with my knowledge of composition and lighting to create stunning aerial videos. I am a licensed FAA Remote Pilot.
